As you can probably tell by the name, Chips Republic’s key offering are chips – french fries covered in your choice of sauces (like black truffle and creamy cheese, which is one of our favourites). However, we really like Chips Republic for their burgers.
Why? Well, their beef-based burgers are made with Angus beef and have that wonderful grilled flavour and juiciness that reminds us so much of backyard BBQs that we used to have back in Melbourne. The buns are also wonderfully soft and chewy, and the salad is fresh. Pair the burger with a side of chips doused in vinegar (a bottle of which is available on all the tables), and you’ve got yourself a delicious meal.
Our favourites are the MO Burger, which features mushrooms and caramelised onions.
And the Porky Pine – fried pork fillet, pineapple, salad, and a sweet, tangy sauce.
They also serve milkshakes in different flavours (including blueberry and green tea), and yoghurt with your choice of toppings for a sweet fix. Chips Republic sits opposite the Grand Cinema at Elements, so it’s a popular spot for cinema-goers to have a meal before watching a movie.
